This election Federal Members of Parliament have a great opportunity to demonstrate real leadership and stop BP’s plan to drill for oil in the the Great Australian Bight. BP has failed twice in six months to meet environmental standards set by the independent authority.
With aims to drill as early as October we must act now. BP was responsible for the worst oil disaster in history with Deep Water Horizon (Gulf of Mexico) lasting 87 days and spewing more than 800 million litres of oil into the sea.
Our elected leaders have a powerful voice in stopping this threat. Your Member of Parliament for Kooyong, Josh Frydenberg, is the Minister for Resources and is responsible for offshore oil drilling.
Join us to ensure that Josh receives a strong message from his electorate - Big Oil has no place in the Bight.
