- Targeted threatened species mapping  - "flora and fauna" surveys to be undertaken in Tasmanian state forests threatened by logging.

 - Collection of detailed and geographically specific threatened species data to assist with the Tasmanian forest campaign and with the protection of habitat for threatened species in the state

 - An opportunity for participants to experience a citizen science project that will build their skills and the capacity of the local community
