On behalf of the Eastside Community and the Wilderness Society East team, we invite you to join us at:
Paperback Grove, corner of Grand Drive and Parks Drive, Centennial Park, Sunday October 16, 2016, 10:30am – 12:30 pm.
Our Eastern Suburbs have a rich and diverse network of communities who work on a wide range of important environmental and social issues. This is an opportunity to engage with your local environment groups and spend a couple of hours meeting and sharing with people from your area about your shared values and concerns.
We see a future where communities work less in isolation and find strength in a united voice championing shared values. We would like to discuss with you how we can work together to achieve better outcomes for our natural environment around our area that strikes a balance with the needs of a urban area reflective of the wants of our residents. We are aiming to build a strong and connected local community network, which is capable of standing up for their shared values when the need presents itself. We are excited to speak with you about how we envisage this aim becoming a reality.
Those who love and protect nature must learn to organise themselves as effectively as those who insist its resources ad infinitum.
We look forward to your company and input.
