Join us on a special camping trip to see the beautiful Helena and Aurora Range!
Get off the beaten track and escape to the beautiful Helena Aurora Ranges this ANZAC weekend.
The Helena Aurora Range (Bungalbin) is characterised by its large banded ironstone rocks, stretches of eucalypt woodland and tall inland whitegums. From the top of the range you’re treated to unspoilt views of our Great Western Woodlands for as far as the eye can see.
This camping experience is the perfect opportunity to see for yourself why this pristine and unique part of the world is worth protecting and why we’re calling for it to become a national park.
Depart Perth (City West Lotteries House, 2 Delhi St)
8am Sat 22 April;
Arrive Southern Cross BP service station 1pm; depart for range 1.45pm; arrive at range and set up camp 4pm.
Return the morning of Monday 24 April.
(The Helena Aurora Range is six hours drive from Perth: 4 hours to Southern Cross and then 2 hours north to the range, the last hour of which is on a good dirt road. Carpool options are available so please advise if you have spare seats to offer or if you are in need of transport.)
You can read for about it here: http://helenaaurorarange.com.au/
