Imagine being a person or wildlife animal so chronically ill/injured that you’re unable to move or eat.
In Japan, 1000 cranes are traditionally created from origami paper to wish for recovery from illness or injury. Using the fun, Japanese art of ‘origami’ paper-folding, over the next few months let’s create 1000 paper critters out of clean, used office paper.
The 1000 critters are to raise awareness of the 1000s wildlife creatures who suffer chronic illness and injury due to deforestation and housebound/bedbound Brisbane residents also struggling due to chronic illness/injury.
No prior origami experience required. Please bring along your own clean, used, office paper (A4-size ideal), scissors and a few metres of string to connect the origami critters together.
