ABOUT

Leeton Lee has established himself as a local identity through his art and has shared his knowledge working on a variety of community events and projects in South East Queensland. He will be running the Indigenous Fire Lighting and Landcare workshop as a brief introduction on thousands of years of passed down knowledge. Learn about the importance of fire with traditional techniques, methods and safety principles when fire is used in our environment. Leeton will touch on the uses and properties of native plants and how different areas are categorized e.g plants endemic to Iron Bark Country. He will demonstrate the process of starting a fire with friction and the participants will all get the chance to try.
