ABOUT

In the 1970's Australians said ‘no’ to oil and gas mining on the Great Barrier Reef and went on to establish one of the world’s most famous marine parks. The Reef now contributes $6.9 billion dollars annually to the Australian economy and supports over 60 000 jobs.
The time has come to stand together again to defend Australia’s precious oceans, marine life, coastal communities and the industries that sustain them.
We simply can not allow BP to risk the Bight.
Join us at 6:30pm on Tuesday 12 July to discuss the next steps of this exciting campaign and how we will work together to defend the Great Australian Bight.
