Black cockatoos are facing extinction. The ancient, hollow-bearing trees they nest in are being torn down and their food trees are being bulldozed. Wilderness Society research uncovered bauxite mining as the cause of the majority of this destruction.
Elections are a time to think about the future we want. One where future generations get to hear the calls of WA’s black cockatoos, and one where it is an expectation of our elected parliamentarians to protect wildlife and their homes.
Come along for a screening of Black Cockatoo Crisis—a stunning film about these incredible cockatoos. Together, we can bear witness to what is at stake if we don’t champion nature.
This special free screening of Black Cockatoo Crisis is brought to you by the Wilderness Society, and our friends at Save the Black Cockatoos Alliance, and Conservation Council WA.
