Where: The Wilderness Society office, 67 Boundary Street, West End
Cost: Free

Our training gives you the building blocks to spread your values and create change in your community. Together, we’re putting the power back in the hands of the people.
Our community organising training is all about immersing yourself in an incredible learning and development experience.
You will also be able to jump right in and take meaningful action (including submission writing) in our urgent campaign to stop new oil and gas in The Channel Country!
Using tools and techniques honed in community organising programs across the world, we’ll help you reach new audiences and have empowering conversations about the things that matter to you— and the reasons we should all support life.
This free two-day course will give you experience and skills in:
- The theory and frameworks of community organising
- Relational organising
- Leadership and facilitation
- Communications for change (telling your personal narrative)
- Activating your local community
- Building grassroots teams and volunteer management
- Submission Writing (Protect The Channel Country)
Afterwards, you’ll be well equipped to work with us on our current campaigns and community organising program, as well as with your local community or organisation to take effective action on the issues you care about.
