We are excited to offer our Community Organising Training course - Movement for Life -  to Wilderness Society volunteers and supporters over the weekend of Saturday 9th June - Sunday 10th Jun (Saturday: 8.45am - 5pm and Sunday 8.45am - 3.00pm.)

Communities across QLD are facing destruction of their local environments at an alarming rate, and the collective consequences are alarming...but we have a plan! Join us, as we work with communities across QLD to protect the places we all love.

Our community organising program is all about immersing yourself in an incredible learning and development experience so that collectively we can better protect, promote and restore Wilderness across Australia...starting in your own backyard.

This two day introductory course will give you experience and skills in:

  • The theory and frameworks of community organising
  • Relational organising skills
  • Leadership and facilitation
  • Communications for change (telling your personal narrative)
  • Campaign planning
  • Activating your local community
  • Building grassroots teams & volunteer management

This is our third training of the year and will set you up well for the rest of 2018 - it's shaping up to be an exciting year and we are looking forward to winning our campaigns s well as your local ones together with you!

This course is free. Please ensure you let us know if you have mobility issues or anything else we need to take into consideration.

See you there!
