Meeting at Grants Picnic Ground in the Dandenong Ranges at 10am, we'll do a series of four short but stunning walks through the mountain ash forests.

You'll see crimson rosellas and king parrots up close—and maybe a wombat if we're lucky! 

We'll finish with a self-catered picnic lunch amongst the trees, before heading back into town around 1pm.  

Grants Picnic Ground is a 50 minute drive from the centre of Melbourne, and is also accessible by public transport.

If we get enough RSVPs to this event, we will be able to hire a bus to take people leaving from The Wilderness Society Office in Fitzroy.
