Come along to the next deforestation team meeting to hear about the launch of the new campaign and how you can get involved!
Australian natural environment is under threat. Every major indicator of environmental health is suffering. In Queensland well over a million hectares of old growth forest has been bulldozed since 2014. 50% of our forests are gone nationwide. We’re losing the life that makes our lives possible.
The health of our environment affects us all. But our current laws fail to protect the things that make Australia a great place to live.
So we’ve begun our most ambitious project ever. A campaign to replace Australia’s toothless environmental rules with a consistent, commonsense plan.
Get involved in the New Laws campaign - to end deforestation & stand up for nature.
WHO WE ARE: The deforestation campaign team are a diverse group of community volunteers who are building a movement to end deforestation and restore Queensland's degraded landscapes!
Come along to our September meeting and get involved in an exciting campaign! For more information contact The Wilderness Society office on 07 3846 1420.
