Federal Environment Minister Murray Watt has announced he’ll table new nature laws by the end of this year.
This announcement is a huge moment for the places, plants and animals we love and want to protect. But we must put the pressure on Labor to make sure these laws are as strong as possible to end extinctions, stop deforestation, and support healthy communities.
So far, the Albanese government has not prioritised nature. Without strong new laws in place, many species are facing extinction, including WA's iconic black cockatoos.
We'll be gathering at Patrick Gorman's office with our friends at CCWA and ACF to deliver a letter from his constituents, demanding that the Government does its job and prioritises nature.
Join us to put pressure on Patrick Gorman to prioritise nature.
