YOU COULD BE A FOREST CHAMPION.
What does a Forest Champion do?
- Email your MP with a personal message about why you want to see Victoria’s Tall Forests permanently protected from industrial logging
- Get others in your community to take this action: good places to start are local bushwalking groups, enviro and sustainability focussed groups, and at local markets/
- Request a meeting with your State MP by emailing them and following up with a phone call. Go to https://findelectorate.parliament.vic.gov.au/ to find your local member.
- Let us know if you’re successful in securing a meeting! We can help prepare you for what to say, and guide you through the process
- Ask your MP what they intend to do to protect Victoria’s forests. Invite them to attend a special MP forest tour on the 11th October to see what’s at stake.
- Join your local Wilderness Society Team to support one another to continue taking action!
