Australia's nature laws are being rewritten right now - this is your chance to make sure communities will have a voice!
As part of it's ongoing Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation law reforms, the Australian government is about to release its draft "Community Engagement Standard" - the rules that decide whether the public gets a genuine say in environmental decisions, or just a tick-box consultation after the calls have already been made.
For years we've watched destructive industries like forestry and mining continue to operate despite overwhelming community opposition, because big corporations have more influence over these decisions by the Environment Minister than the people who live with the consequences. This is the moment that gets locked in or pried open.
We need a movement that watches every move, names every loss, and holds decision-makers accountable for the choices they make - in the open, on the record.
Join us for this national campaign update and then take action as we build the watchdog Australia's nature needs.
