When Malcolm Turnbull wrested the Prime Ministership from Tony Abbott in September last year, like many we were hopeful that he would provide leadership and take action to arrest dangerous climate change.
But Prime Minister Turnbull has failed to deliver strong action on climate. The Government’s carbon pollution reduction and renewable energy targets remain woefully low and they continue to support the expansion of the fossil fuel industry across the country.
Meanwhile rising temperatures are severely bleaching and killing the Great Barrier Reef and threatening much of Australia’s natural environment.*
As Federal election day draws near, now is the time to express our dismay and call on the Prime Minister to act. Your presence and voice at this event really matters. Together we can send a strong message.
