Over the past few years, in preparation for the once in a decade review of Australia's national environment laws, we've worked together at a continental level to make sure that nature and it's proper protection were on the agenda, that community voices were front and centre, and that whoever rules the roost, they would be held accountable by an independent watchdog.

Together you organised your communities, and at key moments mobilised others to write an astonishing number of submissions into the independent review of Australia's national environment laws. You wrote to and met with your elected representatives and inspired others to take action with you, as well as networking with each other to strengthen the work we all know is so important.

It's paid off. The final report from the EPBC Act Review has landed and it includes pretty much everything we asked for.

So, what next? How can we as community members now ensure that federal government acts on and implements the recommendations in the report?

At this interactive event we will hear from Suzanne Milthorpe, our New Laws for Nature Campaign Manager about what the most effective next steps we can take.

We'll then learn how to take these steps with Movement for Life group members who have firsthand experience building relationships with and lobbying their elected representatives.
