What’s Happening?
We’re joining forces with our friends at Queensland Conservation Council to rally for stronger nature laws. Together, we’ll demand:
- Protections to end rampant deforestation.
- A plan to stop extinctions of iconic species like koalas and greater gliders.
- Public accountability for environmental decisions.
Come and be part of this powerful community gathering. Let’s show the government we won’t back down when it comes to protecting nature.
RSVP now to join us on Thursday, 30 January!
Why We’re Rallying
Queensland is a deforestation hotspot. Every hour, the equivalent of 7 Suncorp Stadiums of forests and bushlands are bulldozed—destroying critical habitats for koalas and other wildlife. Meanwhile, developers and corporations driving this destruction have the government’s ear.
Australia’s forests and wildlife need stronger protections before it’s too late. A powerful new national environmental law could stop deforestation, prevent extinctions, and ensure the public has a fair say in environmental decisions.
But we need to show the federal government that Australians demand action. That’s where you come in.
