The Wilderness Society and allies are coming together in Burwood for Nature Book Week, to share and listen to stories about nature and how to protect it.Â
Nature is what connects us all, and we all want a future for ourselves and for younger generations where nature thrives.

WHEN: Sunday 12 October, 2:30-4pm
WHERE: Burwood Park Community Centre (2B Comer St, Burwood, NSW 2134 (WITHIN BURWOOD PARK, BEHIND PAVILION STAGE)Â Google map and directions)
WHAT: On the day you’ll experience:
- A live, virtual talk from Professor David Lindenmayer, AO FAA, author of ‘The Forest Wars’
- A drawing Workshop by children’s book illustrator and author Serena Geddes
- A talk from WIRES about our native animals, including what caring for them & volunteering with WIRES entails;
- Kids activities and book prizes;
- Information on what the Wilderness Society is doing to protect our unique ecosystems in NSW, and how you can take action;
All ages are welcome - there will be something for everyone, whether you're 75, 45, or 5 📚 🦜
