Join us for a walk in the forest to connect with nature, meet like minded volunteers & supporters, and celebrate our Wilderness Society achievements this year 🌲🤗
You’ll explore the stunning harbour foreshore in North Sydney, rich in Cammeraygal people’s culture and history, flora and fauna.Â
Easily accessible by train, we’ll walk through Smoothey Park, Gore Cove Reserve and also Berry Island Reserve in Wollstonecraft followed by a well deserved beverage.

What you can expect:
- A 1.5 hour moderate-grade walk (we will move at the pace of the slowest of the group)
- The opportunity to meet Wilderness Society staff, volunteers and supporters who have similar values and interests
- A facilitated activity to connect everyone to people and place
- Snacks and beverages at the end while we reflect on the great work we’ve done this year and our campaign achievements!
We’ll meet at Wollstonecraft Station Park at 1pm sharp. This is adjacent to Wollstonecraft Station - a 20 minute train trip from Central. Public toilets are situated mid-walk at the southern end of Shirley Road (on Berry Island). After the walk, we’ll finish up at Bar QUATTRO at Waverton Station.

Aboriginal people used the creek as a fresh water supply for thousands of years and shell middens can be found in the rainforest microclimate. The diversity of vegetation and the creek support a variety of bird life.
Please bring enclosed sturdy footwear, sun protection and a water bottle. You will receive detailed information closer to the event.
