Thursday 18th of August was a sad day for QLD with the Vegetation management amendment bill being voted down. I know it has left a lot of people angry and with a feeling of despair.

Yes it was a setback but it certainly isn’t a lost cause. It gives us a huge opportunity to make it a massive election issue and a chance to regroup, grieve a little and put some solid plans in place to ensure that we have very strong land clearing laws in place in the near future.

We would like to invite you to a debrief and next steps get together on Thursday 8th September at The Wilderness Society campaign centre here in West End.

Julie Melrose our National Campaign Manager will be here and is keen to hear your ideas and thoughts moving forward.

We will provide snacks for all and are really looking forward to hearing your thoughts and working with you to get these land clearing laws in place.

Please RSVP  so we can cater for everyone.

Looking forward to seeing you
