Come and join us, the Toowoomba Wilderness Society, at a tree planting on Saturday 11 September.

The planting will be at Shorelands Drive, Withcott at the end of the cul de sac at the eastern end of the street.

We are aiming to get 200 much needed koala feed trees in the ground with help from other local groups and local residents.

We will kick things off at 9am with a brief introduction and demonstration about how to plant the trees.

The trees are ready to go, and the holes have been pre dug, so we should be able to get straight in and start planting.

Not only is this a great chance to do something really positive for the local region, and to provide local wildlife with some much needed respite from the ongoing urban sprawl and development driven habitat loss, but we will also get to meet each other and connect with like minded people from the local area.

Don't forget a water bottle, hat, enclosed shoes, and face mask (dependent on current QLD Govt restrictions at the time).

Everyone is welcome and the more the merrier, so feel free to invite any family and friends you think might be interested in getting involved.

The event is being run in partnership with DDEC, the Dancing Bear Cafe, and Withcott State School.

To come along simply RSVP to this event and turn up on the day. One of our team members will be in touch with a reminder email closer to the day.
