Come along with your local Wilderness Society group on a walk through a beautiful rainforest ecological community on the Escarpment that has recently been declared critically endangered under the Act. Such a declaration should trigger the development of a recovery plan and funds to make it happen. We know that in most cases no plan or funding is delivered. We can talk about what we can do to have an impact in the review of the Act and to put the environment on the agenda of our members of parliament.

The walk will be led by Emma Rooksby who has a deep knowledge of the escarpment environment. This is a great way to connect with our natural world and with people who share your passion for conservation.

The Wilderness Society Illawarra team, made up of local volunteers, has been active for three years on climate and environmental protection.

The walk in the Illawarra Escarpment State Conservation Area, just west of Wollongong, requires a moderate level of fitness and will take around 2 to 3 hours on the Sunday morning.

RSVP is essential as places are limited. Please register early to avoid disappointment.

We will send you the meet up details when you register.
