ABOUT

We’re excited to offer our community organising training course, The Fundamentals of Community Organising, to Wilderness Society volunteers and supporters.

Saturday 25 February, 9am - 4pm

Sunday 26 February, 9am - 3:30pm

Cost: Free

RSVP at the top right of this page!

Our community organising training gives you the building blocks to spread your values and create change in your community. Together, we’re putting the power back in the hands of the people.

The weekend is all about immersing yourself in an incredible learning and development experience.

Using tools and techniques honed in community organising programs across the world, we’ll help you reach new audiences and have empowering conversations about the things that matter to you— and the reasons we should all support life.

This free two-day course will give you experience and skills in:

  • The theory and frameworks of community organising
  • Relational organising
  • Leadership and facilitation
  • Communications for change (telling your personal narrative)
  • Campaign planning
  • Activating your local community
  • Engaging with your local member of parliament

Afterwards, you’ll be well equipped to work with us on our current campaigns and community organising program, as well as with your local community or organisation to take effective action on the issues you care about.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the training, please feel free to shoot Grace an email! (details at the top of this page)
