This January, we're getting together with you and your community, to write to our elected reps. We'll be listening to music, having good chats, nibblies and drinks while taking proactive action for our iconic lands and wildlife. We'd love you to join us.
When: 6pm - 8pm, Tuesday 28 January 2020.
Where: Wilderness Society Campaign Centre, Level 2, 46 Kippax Street, Surry Hills 2010 NSW.
Who: You, me, our mates and community members who also want to get to work to protect the places we love.
We're asking the independent review panel, and federal environment minister Sussan Ley what they're planning to do to ensure we all have a future with clean water and air, a safe climate, and to protect the places we love, by ensuring our national nature laws are up to scratch.
Why? Australia's 20 year old environment laws are up for review and we're committed to making sure the people in charge of reviewing them do a proper job of it.
Personalised submissions work, are worth many times more in the eyes of our elected reps than a signature on a ready-made submission, and are one important way you can make sure your point of view is included in this once in ten year review of Australia's environment laws.
A crew of experienced submission writers will be on hand to provide training, support, and guides in case you're wondering "How on earth do I write one of these things?".
Please RSVP so we know how many people to cater for. All are welcome, so please share with your networks and invite friends and family along too. The more the merrier!
