Join us for a couple of hours to slow down and breathe some fresh air, get your hands dirty actively connecting with nature to protect and enhance our local environment on Saturday morning 9am 5th August 2023.
We will be planting and greening at Wilkins Green, adjacent to Wilkins Public School. Wilkins Green began in 2004 as part of the Marrickville Belonging Project, to protect and develop the existing green space and habitat located on the western boundary of Wilkins Public School grounds bordering Livingstone Road. To learn more about the Wilkins Green project please visit - https://wilkins-p.schools.nsw.gov.au/about-our-school/wilkins-green.html

This event is a collaboration between the Wilkins Green and Inner West Wilderness Society local groups. Registration RSVP is required to attend this event as we have limited spaces and resources. The event will run from 9am until approximately 11am.
The planting location is located at 31 park rd, Marrickville NSW 2204, but we will be entering the site through the gate located on Sydenham road which is on the opposite side to the main school buildings.
What to bring? Please wear a hat, long pants and ideally long sleeves, enclosed shoes and bring along some drinking water to stay hydrated. If you have gardening gloves please bring these too, however there will be some available for those who do not own gloves.
