ABOUT
We're excited to be co-hosting an important forum with the NSW Nature Conservation Council about our water, farms and forests and the final coal seam gas threat left in NSW, on Tuesday 26 April from 6:30 pm.
Special guests will travel over 7 hours from their homes and farms to speak to us from about their opposition to Santos' Narrabri Gas Project in the Pilliga forest.
Join farmers Anne Kennedy and Sarah Ciesiolka, conservationist Jane Judd and Gunnedah Councillor David Quince for a powerful community forum at 6:30pm on Tuesday April 26th at the Queenscliff Surf Club, Manly.
The Pilliga is the largest temperate woodland left in Eastern Australia and a critical area to recharge the underground waters of the Great Artesian Basin. Some of NSW's best food growing land is under threat by the Pilliga gasfield - this issue affects us all.
After many community victories against unconventional gas across NSW the Pilliga project is vulnerable as the last project in the state.
The local community is determined to protect their farms, communities and culture. Please come along next Tuesday 26th April in Manly to hear the voices of the Pilliga and find out how to support them.
