Join us on Saturday 24 February from 9.00am at The Wilderness Society's campaign centre at 174 Charles Street for our Community Outreach Bonanza!
We'll share a picnic breakfast in Princes Park from 9 - 9.30am before a quick training session followed by our biggest group activity yet. We'll be joined by folks from Hobart, Melbourne and Brisbane for this one.
We'll be offering a range of activities, so if you're not feeling up to knocking on doors no worries! Come down anyway and get involved with the team. We need letter boxers and photos taken for sharing on social media
That said, EVERY CONVERSATION COUNTS - two elections, ago the seat of Bass was decided by 36 votes.
We’re excited to invite supporters to join our existing community outreach team, so you can share with the community in the Bass electorate in Launceston your passion for Tasmania and a future that protects our natural and cultural heritage.
There’s solidarity in teamwork, and personal conversations are one of the most powerful tools a in an election campaign toolkit. The Wilderness Society's Movement For Life community organising program will run a specific training program to give you the skills and confidence you’ll need to have these conversations in key Launceston neighbourhoods.
We have opportunities to get out and have conversations in your community, inviting people to pledge to consider the forests when they cast their vote this March.
