The Tree Projects 'Tasmania's Forest Carbon'
Based on The Tree Projects' scientific report of the same name, 'Tasmania's Forest Carbon' highlights the impact of the native forest logging industry on Tasmania's emissions. These shocking statistics are accompanied by stunning images of threatened forests, and alternatives offered by industry professionals.
The Wilderness Societys 'The Last Wild River'
A documentary made by Paul Smith and Dr Bob Brown. The Last Wild River (1978) follows the adventuring party of 4 as they paddle down the wild Franklin River in rubber rafts. Showing the rivers aesthetic and recreational value the film served as an introduction to the Franklins conservation values, amid the Franklin/Gordon Dam dispute.
Entry via Elizabeth street, venue is entirely wheelchair accessible. Street parking is available but may be limited.
This event will be held on stolen Palawa land. We acknowledge and pay our respects to the many generations of staunch warriors and activists whom have been fighting for Country since colonisation began. Sovereignty was never ceded.
