Show up and show your support!

WHAT:     Action by the Wilderness Society for Threatened Species

WHERE:   City Park based near the Rotunda in the centre

WHEN:     This Saturday 8th September from 10am to 1pm

We are asking Wilderness Society supporters and interested people to come out to the City Park this Saturday and help end the extinction Crisis in Australia. Why not stop in before or after the Harvest Market!

Australia's record is abysmal in regard to protecting vulnerable species and their habitat. Australia has the highest rate of mammal extinction in the world; even the United States has a better record for bringing threatened fauna back from the brink of extinction.

Governments and corporations will continue to decimate habitats and wilderness if we don't speak up. The Senate Enquiry into the Faunal Extinction Crisis is our best opportunity to have our voices heard. It closes on September 10th, 2018 and we want to enable as many people as possible to make it clear to our Government that this is not acceptable. We need laws that effectively protect our vulnerable fauna and their habitat.

Our resident Swift Parrot and Tasmanian Devil will be making a special appearance to draw attention to the plight of Australia and in particular Tasmania's threatened Species. Photo opportunities will be available on request for those who agree to make an online submission!

Please come and help the Launceston community raise its voice and be heard at the Australian Senate Enquiry into the Faunal Extinction Crisis.

If you are unable to make it to City Park this Saturday, make your submission to the Senate Enquiry here.

We'd love to see you there, bring a smile and a brolly!

Will you come?
