The Wilderness Society Launceston are pleased to host Milkwood's 'Permaculture Living Handbook' book launch! Join us on Friday 22nd September from 5:30 pm, to hear from Milkwood's Kirsten and Nick on their new book and implementing permaculture principles into your life, whatever your lifestyle!Â
"The Milkwood Permaculture Living Handbook is a guide to improving your home, health and happiness - and the planet - one simple step at a time. Packed with meaningful action for the everyday, it's full of practical skills and projects - regenerative living for busy people who want to make a positive impact in a world out of balance."
This book is about rethinking how your individual actions can help create community resilience and radical change, within your ordinary habits.Â
'As author and activist, Kirsten Bradley walks her talk applying the deep and ethical thinking behind permaculture to everyday habits that she and her family have tested and documented through the very successful Milkwood Permaculture Living Course. This book distils the lessons learnt from helping so many others make positive changes in their own lives. In the process it is an accessible introduction to permaculture as powerful thinking tools for regeneration and resilience.'
~ Dr David Holmgren, co-originator of permaculture
This event is free. Finger food and drinks will be available, for a small donation. Launceston office coordinator, Katie MacLaren, will interview Kirsten for 40 minutes before moving onto questions from the audience.Â
This event is held on unceded Palawa country. The Wilderness Society acknowledges the traditional owners of the land on which they work to protect.
