Speaking at the event will be:
Todd Dudley (North East Bioregional Network)
Helena Griffith (The Wilderness Society)
They will be informing you of the history of the creation of Future Potential Production Forest (FPPF) reserves during the Tasmanian Forest Agreement 10 years ago and more recently the governments plans to 'unlock' the FPPF reserves for the logging industry. We will also hear about the importance of cross tenure conservation and revegetation efforts being undertaken by the North East Bioregional Network.
Following the speakers will be a film screening of 'Tasmania's Forest Carbon' a film based on The Wilderness Society and The Tree Projects report of the same name.
This event will take place on the sovereign and unceded lands of the Palawa people, the rightful owners of Lutruwita / Tasmania.
