 -----
The Southern Forests of Lutruwita / Tasmania host some of the largest trees in the world. Swift parrots, Tasmanian devils, quolls, Tasmanian wedge-tailed eagles, and many more iconic species call these forests home. The now famous 'Grove of Giants' was protected through people power in recent years, yet logging is still planned throughout the wider area.

Join us on Sunday 17 May for a day in the Southern Forests as we make the case for their permanent protection. As always, the day will include guided forest walks through an imminently threatened rainforest with giant trees, ecology activities, and a panel discussion to finish. BYO packed lunch, water, and suitable shoes/clothing/equipment. We highly recomend that anyone unsteady on their feet bring hiking poles.
Speakers:
Cody Gangell-Smith: Palawa Activist and Cultural Practioner
Alice Hardinge: Campaigns Manager @ The Wilderness Society Tasmania
Hughie Nicklason: Forest Campaigner @ The Wilderness Society Tasmania
Music:
Rupert Bullard: Emerging award winning Tasmanian folk musician
