ABOUT
The Wilderness Society invites you to a 'Threatened Forest Open Day' in the Styx Valley.
Date: 11am-3pm, Saturday 4 July.
Location: TBA

The Styx Valley hosts some of the largest trees in the world. Tasmanian devils, quolls, masked owls, Tasmanian wedge-tailed eagles, and many more iconic species call these forests home. TWS has been campaigning for the permanent protection of the Styx Valley for decades - and we we are now on the precipice of further signifciant protections.

Join us on Saturday 4 July for a day in forests of the Styx Valley as we make the case for their permanent protection. As always, the day will include guided forest walks through an imminently threatened rainforest, ecology activities, and a panel discussion to finish. BYO packed lunch, water, and suitable shoes/clothing/equipment. We highly recomend that anyone unsteady on their feet bring hiking poles.

Driving instructions and exact location will be annoucned closer to the day. Limited free transport will be available from 130 Davey Street, Nipaluna/Hobart - please email [email protected] for more details.
