The public comment period for Alcoa's mining expansion has now offically opened! For the first time in 60 years you have an opportunity to voice your concerns about Alcoa’s plan to clear Jarrah forests and put Perth’s drinking water at risk for their profits.
Alcoa's plans will lead to the destruction of 115km2 of native jarrah forest, including critically endangered black cockatoo habitat- making this proposal the biggest and most controversial land clearing decision to be made in WA!
Hear from a panel of experts and concerned locals on the threats Alcoa's mining poses to the Darling Range, including deforestation, air & water contamination, First Nations culture, and the impacts to local tourism, as well as how you can have your say through the environmental approvals process.
This event will ensure you have all the information and resources to be able to make an informed and impactful submission against Alcoa's destructive mining operations and with your help we can end forest mining forever!
Make sure you RSVP to receive the Zoom link!
