On Sunday 12 June, join the Wilderness Society, ACF, Lighter Footprints and AYCC for a Doorknocking Day of Action in Josh Frydenberg’s electorate of Kooyong.

The Great Australian Bight lives up to its name – endless cliffs towering over a vast, unspoiled ocean full of wild and wonderful marine life, including one of the largest populations of the endangered southern right whale. But BP wants to drill for oil and gas in these waters, just like it did in the Gulf of Mexico - which ended in disaster for local species, tourism and the fishing industry.

BP has a terrible track record and can’t be trusted to not spoil our southern coastline. BP has no right to risk the Great Australian Bight. We have an opportunity in the election to make our federal leaders take a lead and kick BP out of the Bight for good.

This Federal Election provides a great opportunity for Resources Minister Josh Frydenberg to say ‘No’ to BP's oil drilling in the Great Australian Bight.

Never doorkocked before? Don't worry - we'll start the day with a workshop at 10am. We will talk through the Great Australian Bight campaign, conduct training on persuasive conversations and effective asks.  We’ll cover everything you need to have impactful conversations with the citizens of Kooyong. The fate of this iconic part of Australia and our climate is in our hands.
