The Biosphere will be an immersive and atmospheric space that transports people to the native forests of Victoria through all five senses.
An aromatic blend of gum, ironbark, eucalyptus, wattle and myrtle beeswax will waft through the air. Natural decor will be sustainably source and arranged to create the sense of being in the majestic Mountain Ash forests. The dome will be transformed into a green haven, with lights and projections that will add ambience and education images to the space.
The use of ambient DJ sets with native bird and animal sounds from Victoria will be added to the soundscape. Drumming circles and acoustic music sets will also be available throughout the day.
VR headsets will provide educational digital content and several projectors will illuminate the walls and ceilings with forest documentaries and bush landscape.
This is a relaxed educational space that asks only for people to enjoy and immerse themselves in the experience. Cushions and comfy places for people to sit will be provided. People can bring food and drink into the space and a theatrical campfire will be constructed in the middle to encourage people to gather around for communal seating. It will be a safe and inclusive space, where people of all ages and backgrounds can relax, interact and learn.
