Sign up here to take part in the colourful, creative and fun action that will be the inaugural sitting of the Threatened Species Parliament.
When: 11am - 12.30pm, Sunday 9th of September.
Where: Parliament Reserve, next to Victorian State Parliament, East Melbourne, 3002
If you tick the box to Sign up to join the Threatened Species Parliament as an MP, you'll be assigned a member of parliament and represent them in the mock parliament. You'll also be assigned a threatened species.
All you have to do is take your place in the mock parliament wearing a mask representing the MP you are assigned and a badge representing the threatened species you're given. "Parliament" will sit for approximately one hour, where we will table the Bill Against Extinction, take loads of photos and video, and no doubt be heckled by the Public Gallery!
This creative action will be so much fun. We'd love to have you take part.
You can also sign up to participate in the public gallery. This just involves taking your place in the gallery and watching as we table the Bill Against Extinction.
We need lots of people to pack the gallery and the mock parliament, so please sign up and share this event with your networks!
