Join The Wilderness Society's Melbourne Westside Group on National Tree Day!
Come down to the Altona Coastal Park to put some plants in the ground hosted by the Hobson City council.
This is a national event that shines a light on the importance of revegetating our special natural areas so that the local flora and fauna can survive and thrive. The Altona Coastal Park is a special conservation area that provides vital habitat to threatened saltmarsh plants and fauna such as international migratory wader birds.
The day kick offs with a fun planting session from 10am to 12pm. After that, enjoy a free tasty BBQ lunch.
There will also be entertainment for the kids and plant giveaways for you to take home some plants for your own garden.
Please bring along gloves if you have them.
Meet at the main entrance to the Altona Coastal Park, north of the Pines Scout Camp.
Car parking available on Pines Scout Camp Road, inside the main entrance of the reserve.
