The state government has released a consultation draft of the first ever Native Vegetation Policy for WA. And right now, the government wants to hear from you on how this important asset is managed now and into the future.

You're invited to a Submission Writing Workshop hosted by the Wilderness Society's community group in Victoria Park. This workshop is designed to help you write an effective submission that will ensure our unique flora and fauna is protected now and in the future.

Western Australia's most valuable natural asset is its native vegetation. It is a carbon sink for rising emissions and a temperature regulator for heatwaves. It binds and protects ancient soils while keeping the water flow of rivers and wetlands healthy. Most importantly, it is home to WA's unique and threatened wildlife.

And now you can have your say to make sure the government protects it.

When: Wednesday, 20 October @ 6.30pm

Where: Boston Brewing Co. Victoria Park

So grab your laptop/tablet and head down for a pub feed, some good conversation and learn how to have the biggest impact in how to write your submission.

If you have any questions about the workshop, accessibility or need other arrangements in place, please don't hesitate to send me an email at [email protected]

P.S. Don't forget to RSVP at the top of this page to confirm your attendance and receive workshop resources.

We respectfully acknowledge the traditional custodians of the unceded land we will be meeting on, the Whadjuk Noongar people, and pay our respects to Elders past, present and leaders emerging.
