Right now, with governments under pressure from powerful vested interests, law reform is not on track to protect the wildlife and places we love. The WA government has announced plans to further weaken environmental protection.  

Our forests won’t survive without strong nature laws!

The Northern Jarrah Forests are on the brink of collapse due to climate change, and are being devastated by the ongoing threat of forest mining.

We urgently need strong nature laws that protect this biodiversity hotspot from mining expansions and prevent further extinctions.

The government needs to provide a fair say to communities, not just corporations, and implement policies to end the rampant destruction of nature.

The WA Government is planning to introduce its nature law reforms to Parliament in August, and there’s a serious risk that these reforms will weaken the few defences currently in place to protect our fragile environment. 

Which is why we're making some noise to call for strong nature laws to defend WA’s nature!
