ABOUT

Join us for the inaugural "Fridays for the Forest" action. These actions will be held fortnighly at MPs offices across the state as we demand an end to the destruction of WA's jarrah forests due to bauxite mining.

For 60 years, mining giants Alcoa and South32 have ravaged WA’s ancient jarrah forests. Now, they’re set to destroy over 25,000 football fields more. These forests are irreplaceable and are home to over 6,400 unique species found nowhere else on Earth, including the iconice but threatened black cockatoos.

The Cook government is allowing these companies to continue mining while their plans are currently under accessment by the EPA- threatening water, wildlife, health, and climate. Let's send a loud and clear message to those in power that they must reject mining expansion proposals and end forest mining now!
