Join us for a guided walk in the Northern Jarrah Forest to witness firsthand the beauty of this incredible region as well as the destruction caused by bauxite mining.
This will be be a guided walk as we take you around to some special spots through the forest, including current mining areas to show the damage Alcoa are causing, and what the forest looked like before mining operations began in the area 60 years ago.
We'll also discuss how you can get involved in the fight to protect this worldclass area and the boundless species which call it home.
Tour bus pick up will be at 8am from Pioneer Park in Fremantle (meeting at the dog sculpture) and will drop off at the same spot at 2pm.
This will be a fairly accessible walk but trails will mostly be dirt and gravel tracks so please be aware that there will be some uneven, rough terrain. Please contact Paddy if you can any questions or concerns.
Hope you can join us!
