It’s time to let your local Member of Parliament know we need strong laws to defend WA’s nature!
The nature we love is in serious trouble. Fossil fuel expansion, industrialisation, deforestation and pollution are further driving biodiversity loss and fuelling our extinction crisis- Australia has the highest mammal extinction rate in the world!
Under pressure from powerful vested interests, the Cook Labor government is proposing to erode the independence of the EPA (Environmental Protection Authority), Western Australia’s frontline environmental watchdog.
Nationally, the Labor government has backflipped on their promise of delivering strong new nature laws before the next election, while their draft laws are riddled with loopholes and won’t actually stop climate change, deforestation, and species extinctions.

Nature cannot defend itself. The best way we can protect nature is through the creation of stronger nature and climate laws.
Get ready to join us for a lively and interactive workshop that will empower you with the necessary skills to:
- Have impactful conversations about protecting nature
- Schedule a face-to-face meeting with your MP
- Develop ongoing contact with your MP on nature
- Get the most out of your meeting, with clear asks and a follow-up plan
Plus, we'll have an MP meeting role-play - so you can practice your questions and feel prepared for the real thing!
