You're invited to a Plushie Pizza Party! Say what?!
The Morrison Government is rushing to pass bill amendments through Parliament without proper consideration of the EPBC independent review.
It's time for us to strengthen our community bonds, keep raising our voices and stand in solidarity with other organisations who are also pushing for stronger nature laws and keeping extinction on the agenda.
In the week before Parliament resumes, our friends over at the Australian Conservation Foundation are organising a national, online day of action "to make our message loud and clear: it’s time for strong laws that actually protect nature #beforeitsgone"
The plan? A plushie protest on social media. All you need to know here: https://www.acf.org.au/plushie_protest_toolkit
Pizza? As restrictions have eased for us here in WA, I've taken this opportunity to organise a Pizza Party! A night for all Movement For Life team members like yourself to come together, meet one another, mingle, EAT PIZZA and get your plushies and signs ready for the online protest in solidarity with ACF. Yay!
When? Wednesday 30th of September (the night before the protest!) @ 5:30pm. But feel free to head in earlier after work, if that suits you better!
Where? The Wilderness Society Offices WA, 2 Delhi Street, West Perth, 6162
What to bring? Yourself (obviously!), your plushie toy, any extras you might have to lend someone who doesn't have one and punny sign ideas (optional)! Skewers, markers and all other craft materials to make your plushie sign will be provided!
