Walk For Truth - Fitzory to Parliament

ABOUT

Join the Wilderness Society standing in solidarity with the Yoorrook Justice Commission at the Walk for Truth in Melbourne on Wednesday, 18 June.

This powerful gathering marks the final step of a journey that began on Gunditjmara Country in Portland. For nearly a month, walkers have been moving across Victoria—calling for truth, justice, and healing.

Now, we walk the final steps together.

The Walk for Truth is a call to reckon with our shared history, celebrate the strength and resilience of First Peoples, and walk forward in truth. It’s a reminder that we all have a role to play in supporting truth-telling and First Nations justice.

We'll gather at the Wilderness Society office in Fitzroy at 10:30am, then walk together to Parliament House, arriving by 11:30am, where the rest of the ceremony will take place.

Date: Wednesday, 18 June
Start Time and Location: 10:30am, The Wilderness Society Office, Fitzroy

Please RSVP so we know you are coming along.

If you would like to join other segments of the walk, including the final leg from The Shrine to Parliament house on the morning of the 18th, please find more info here

The Wilderness Society stands in support of First Nations-led truth-telling and justice. We hope you’ll walk with us.
