The need for leadership on dealing with climate change has never been greater. The community of Wollongong calls for our local government to join the movement of more than thirty local councils in Australia to take a strong stance for our future. We want Wollongong City Council to take our funds out of any investment in fossil fuels and become a climate leader in their own operations in the next five years. Join us on Tuesday 28 March at 6pm to launch our public campaign and find out how you can be involved.
Glen Klatovsky, Campaign Manager with the Wilderness Society, will speak on the divestment movement and our aim of building communities for the environment.
There will be finger food and soft drinks. A donation of $5 to cover costs will be most welcome.
